BROWSER STORAGE

What stays in your browser.

Cookies and other storage have different jobs. Here is how they relate to the game, your preferences and advertising.

Cookies & similar technologies

A cookie is a small value a website asks a browser to store. Websites can also use local storage, IndexedDB and the Cache API. These are different browser features: a downloaded game file in a cache is not an advertising cookie.

Game files & preferences

The game keeps compressed, versioned engine and scenery files in a browser cache named ucd-assets-v1, when supported. It checks downloaded files for completeness before using them. This helps future visits reuse large assets rather than downloading every file again.

The Unity game may also keep settings or saved state in local browser storage. Storage depends on the browser profile and device; it is not automatically synced to a player account. Private browsing, storage limits and browser cleanup can remove stored files.

Advertising storage

When the operator enables advertising integrations, Google or another configured ad provider may set or read cookies, use identifiers or access similar technologies for ad delivery, measurement, security and, where enabled, personalization. Exact names and expiry times depend on the provider and configuration.

Use any provider consent message shown on the site to manage available choices. You can also visit Google My Ad Center and YourAdChoices. Those choices do not clear the downloaded game cache.

Manage or remove storage

  1. Open your browser's privacy or site settings.
  2. Find this website in the list of stored site data or permissions.
  3. Choose which cookies or storage to block or clear. Check the browser's explanation before confirming.
  4. Reload the game. The next visit may need to download game files again, and saved preferences may be reset.

Blocking all browser storage can affect loading and saved settings. The download cache is optional: if cache access is denied, the game attempts to load directly over the network.
